Installing wordpress. !Easy breezy!
Install Wordpress
Create database on phpMyAdmin
or$ mysql -u <user> -p mysql> create database mysql; mysql> exit Bye
Download Wordpress
https://wordpress.org/download/and place in folder public_html/, .../www/html/ or equivalent.
or$ cd <server public_html folder> $ wget https://wordpress.org/latest.zip $ unzip latest.zip
Rename wordpress folder with your projects name.
$ mv wordpress my_project
- Go to URL on browser and enter database information.
Create wp-config.php file
Manually
If due to permissions, wordpress cannot write to projects root folder, do the following:- Wordpress gives you the contents of wp-config.php file
Copy this content to clipboard. - Go to projects folder and create the wp-config.php file. Paste the code provided by wordpress and save.
Automatic
To allow wordpress to write on the projects folder, do the following:$ cd <servers public_html folder> $ sudo chmod www-data my_project -R
After doing this, wordpress will be able to create the wp-config file and install without delay.

Direct Plugin Installation, No FTP
Disable FTP usage in plugin installation to use the direct method by fetching them from the internet.
